The third navigational port is About AGM
and provides our doctrinal statement, introduces our leaders and
declares our vision statement and
the Core Values central to our church life and pivotal to our
continued growth. The Calendar Page lists our
activities for the current month. Hopefully, this assists your
perusing our site.
Abundant Grace
began on Jan. 7th, 2001, with fourteen people desiring to
experience a depth of God’s grace and a participant centered church.
In the six years of existence, we have experienced numerical growth
(not our primary goal) and average from 70-85 on any Sunday AM.
But our real
target is quality church growth - developing community and
experiencing the richness of God's Spirit in our midst. Our
quality growth model is centered on the
Reformed understanding of the priesthood of the believer
and a passion for the fullness of Jesus Christ manifested in His
Body. You are invited to take part in the interaction or just sit
back and observe the community participation.
As a result,
we are not a program orientated church, therefore, our church
experience is not for everyone. To be quite honest, we are still
"feeling our way" in becoming an impacting church for the 21st
century. It is a fun adventure though and we continue to learn.
The design and
impact of our Sunday AM services are relationally focused and
highly interactive. This objective coincides with an emphasis
on quality church growth in the individual rather than a
quantity prominence.
Finally, some have asked about our use of
emoticons. We use them to convey emotion, passion and even fun
to add a lightness to our day. For us, it is just another
mode of communicating and hopefully brings a smile to someone's
face.
